From Stress to Peace

No matter what time of year it is, we have the capacity to be on the receiving end of dramas, to create or invite drama and stress (‘cos sometimes that’s the kind of person we are) and even to maintain that stress to our own detriment. Many people do not realise that they are actually firmly entrenched in the habit of being stressed, and that they may be using that stress for a variety of different purposes.

Purpose of Stress

Sometimes stress is used in order to create adrenalin spikes to give energy, such as when a deadline is approaching and you feel you’d rather be anywhere else but where you are…
Sometimes it is used to give a person an ‘out’ from a situation “he was so stressed he had to leave”…

Sometimes it is just a habit, as people get so used to being stressed, that without it they don’t feel quite right.

7. Health issues are usually triggered initially by long term build-up of stress
8. Pregnancy or inability to conceive

11. Taxes!
12. Being involved in too many different things so time is stretched
13. Children
14. Parents
15. Study

I think you have the idea… almost anything can become a stress, so it really is very easy for someone to succumb to stress, instead of maintaining centred and balanced, peace within.

Relaxation, Visualisation, Meditation
Relaxation techniques take practise for the individual to be able to switch thoughts off, relax their body and allow that sense of peace to flow through.

Every day that you practise will allow you to build up a positive reservoir or credit in your energy account, and help to decrease the debits that occur on a daily basis.

Every day that you practise will help you to find that peaceful state more quickly. Each time you commence your practise, as time goes by you will be able to enter that peaceful state almost at will. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Imagine being able to reach a peaceful point quickly and easily and being able to stay there for your own health and well-being.
